Friends of the Library

Would you like to be our Friend? Everyone's a friend of the library, but why not formalize the relationship? If you value books and reading, you're invited to join us in our endeavors.

Our library has been serving the Anson community and Jones County since 1962. That’s 54 years of a group of
individuals coming together for a common goal – to build a partnership between the library and the community,
and to advocate for quality library service for all of the people of Anson and surrounding area.

With that service to the community comes many challenges and struggles – particularly on the financial side of
things. In order to better serve our community, Friends of the Public Library aim to support the Library Board
with funds for programs, equipment and every day operations.

Help us support the mission of the Library by becoming a friend today! The annual dues are only $10.00 per person each year. That money is used to better serve the needs of the Library and offer our community more programs and equipment.
